Role　Summary/Purpose
The　EID　(Early　Identification)　Program　is　an　Internship　Program　designed　to　identify　high-potential　engineering　students　early　in　their　academic　career　as　possible　candidates　for　entry　level　engineering　training　program:　EEDP.　The　Internship　Program　offers　students　the　opportunity　to　experience　a　real-life　work　environment,　while　developing　the　professional　skills　critical　to　a　successful　career.
The　internship　assignment　offers:
-　Challenging　work　assignments　on　technology　fields
-　Formal　goal-setting　and　appraisal　processes
-　Multiple　resources:　manager,　mentor,　buddy,　etc.
-　Networking　and　social　activities
-　Rewards　and　recognition　based　on　performance
-　The　best　interns　will　have　the　opportunity　to　participate　in　the　selection　of　the　Edison　Engineering　Development　Program　(EEDP)　that　will　start　in　2016　or　later.
　
Essential　Responsibilities　　
Finish　a　2~6　month　assignment　in　one　technology　function
Meet　the　evaluation　criteria　in　the　assignment　team
Complete　required　internship　training　defined　in　the　program
Present　the　project　summary　upon　completion　of　the　assignment
　　
　
Qualifications/Requirements　　
-　Pursuing　a　Master’s　Degree　or　above　in　Mechanical,　Aeronautical,　Electrical,　Electronics,　Control,　Software　Engineering,　Computer　Science,　Bio-medical,　Physics,　Chemical,　Material,　etc..　
-　　Demonstrated　Academic　excellence　with　a　minimum　GPA　requirement　(3.0/4.0);
-　　Passion　for　engineering　with　strong　technical　attitude,　innovation　spirit,　　and　an　analytical　approach　to　problem　solving;
-　　Strong　commitment　to　a　career　in　technology;
-　　Self-motivated,　self-confident　team　play　with　mature　&　positive　attitude　and　fast　learning　ability;
-　　Excellent　interpersonal　and　communication　skills;
-　　Bilingual　proficiency　in　English　and　Mandarin
　
　
Desired　Characteristics
-　　Geographically　mobile;
-　　Prior　engineering　or　research　experiences　in　the　related　field
-　　Able　to　work　for　a　minimum　of　10　weeks

Energy Management-　Critical Power
Graduation time: 2016 or later
Locations:　 Shanghai
Background:　major in Electrical Engineering; Familiar with AC-DC, DC-DC topologies and theories
Preferred qualifications:　power supply industry experience is preferred
Duties/Responsibilities:
1) Assist Sr. EE/EE on DC-DC power supply product design, development, modifying, testing & debugging etc.
2) Summarize related testing & debugging reports upon EE’s support
3) Maintain & manage lab equipment/instruments together with Technician

Energy Management-　Industrial Solutions
Graduation time: 2016 or later
Locations:　 Shanghai
Background:　major in Mechanical Engineering; Familiar with Pro/E and AutoCAD software.
Preferred qualifications:　switchgear experience is preferred
Duties/Responsibilities:
1) Assist Sr. ME/ME on Switchgear and VCB product design, development, modifying, testing & debugging etc.
2) Generate or update drawings/models based on product design under guidance of experienced engineers.


Healthcare
Graduation time: 2016 or later
Locations:　Beijing, Chengdu, Wuxi
Background: Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronics, Control, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Bio-medical, Physics, etc..
Preferred qualifications: prior engineering　or research experience in the design field such as hardware design (electrical or mechanical), Radio Frequency, wireless systems, cryogenics,　magnostatics, diagnostic imaging equipment, patient monitoring devices, or life support system equipment, firmware design or software design/applications.
